to the Leaping Lagomorph Rare Breeds web site. Leaping Lagomorph Rare Breeds is dedicated to rare and unusual fiber animals. Since weaving, spinning, and knitting are owner Andrea’s passion, our motto is “fiber at its finest!” So at Leaping Lagomorph Rare Breeds you’ll find our focus is on fiber and fiber products. Our herds consist of Alpacas from Bolivia, Chile, and Peru, as well as the endangered Jacob Sheep.

Our goal is to breed for excellent animal genetics, fine fiber and animals with good disposition. So grab your mouse, and check out our site! You’ll find information ranging from Alpacas for sale to the digital farm with lots of fiber art classes thrown in for spice.

Save this date: Saturday, September 29, 2007 is National Alpaca Day, and we at Leaping Lagomorph Rare Breeds will celebrate by having our first open house at the new farm in Versailles, Missouri! Admission is free, and there will be lots of activities for you and the children!

Our new yarn store, Sumptuous Yarns, will also have its official Grand Opening! Sumptuous Yarns features fine yarns, knitting tools and fiber art accessories.
